About Mark Birtles

Novelist Mark Birtles wearing a black turtleneck sweater and glasses.

Award-winning author Mark Birtles has been a student of the Scriptures for over thirty years. He’s taught adult courses on creation and evolution, Christian apologetics, and Biblical prophecy, in America’s sixth-largest church. A voracious and ecclectic reader, he always spends more time reading than he does writing.

About Bloodline

Cover of book "Bloodline" showing a mountain range and a bright orange sunet.

Bloodline is "an ambitious, multi-plot genre-bender." The story encompasses ancient mysteries, genetic engineering and the bounds of morality. Impossible archaeology fails to produce a satisfying historical narrative. Some pull back, others blindly press into what could become a genetic nightmare. Book Two, Twilight, follows this experiment to its inevitable outcome.

One reader calls the series, "Michael Crichton meets CS Lewis."
